Sycamore Grove Park - Livermore Area Recreation and Park District

Livermore Area Recreation & Park District (LARPD) rangers and librarians from the #LivermorePublicLibrary will entertain families with children's #books about #nature and #wildlife at a special #NatureStorytime on the trails in #SycamoreGrovePark. The free event will take place on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Families should meet at the kiosk near the #WetmoreRoad entrance to Sycamore Grove Park, 1051 Wetmore Road.
After the attendees have assembled, participants will begin a guided half-mile walk to the #HobbitTree along a paved path suitable for strollers, scooters, and bikes. Once the group arrives at the Hobbit tree, storytime will begin. Families will sit in the shade of the tree, listen to nature stories, and sing songs. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on during this program.
Registration is not required for this free event. However, parking in the Wetmore Road lot costs $7. The first 20 families who RSVP for this event will receive a free one-day parking pass to Sycamore Grove Park.
Those on the RSVP list can claim their parking pass at the Wetmore entrance kiosk at 1:00 p.m. or later the day of the event. For questions, or to RSVP, please call 925-373-5504.
