Join us as we host up and coming San Francisco Barebottle Brewing Company! This event will not only feature some amazing seasonal offerings from the brewery but a chance for YOU to decide which home brew crew's creation will reign supreme in their Salty Haze IPA competition!
The rules were simple; create a unique take on a Salted Hazy IPA with a different variation on each and the winner judged by the public would get a chance to brew the beer on a large scale at the brewery!
Come grab a flight of the three and decide for yourself, we will see you there!
— Pouring — Salty Haze IPA #1 — Mangonilla — Salted IPA
6.3% ABV, 50 IBU
Representing the SF Homebrewers Guild, John Warner brewed up this amazing salted mango & vanilla delight. He used 17 different hop additions, and it’s something to behold.
Salty Haze IPA #2 — S. Hemisphere — Salted IPA
6.3% ABV, 68 IBU
Hailing from the Mad Zymurgists in Livermore, Kalin & Kyle sought inspiration from the South Pacific, using hefty doses of stonefruit-forward hops from Australia/New Zealand.
Salty Haze IPA #3 — N. Hemisphere — Salted IPA
6.2% ABV, 77 IBU
Keeping it All-West Coast, Vito & David from Bay Area Mashers and Diablo Order of Zymiracle Enthusiasts, made the best of new American Citrusy/Piney hops. Team America!
Midnight Cologne — Dark Kolsch Style Ale
4.6% ABV, 15 IBU
Stranger Things meets California Cologne – light, drinkable, and crisp, but with an upside down twist — roasty toasty malts add chocolately caramel and coffee flavors. WINONA!
Citra Fresca — Fresh Hop American IPA
6.7% ABV, 45 IBU
Fresh Hops are in! We airlifted 160 lbs of fresh Citra hops right out of Yakima, Washington for this beer, and used a whopping 10lbs per barrel. Citra Fresca is, as the name describes, super fresh, and molto delizioso. Saluti!
Berry Shakesbeer — Fruit IPA
6.5% ABV, 45 IBU
Double Double Toil and Trouble! Our third fruited “shakes beer” is out, and holy ghost it is awesome! We blended in 30 gallons of fresh blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries.
