Hello trickers, capoeiristas, and the South Bay community! Capoeira Irmandade & Bay Area Movement are once again hosting a capoeira-movement workshop. Capoeirista/tricker Mike «Atlas» Pinto will be teaching «floreios,» acrobatics and embelished floor-movements from capoeira that you can use to set up your favorite martial art tricks. Come learn moves to add a little flair to your tricking game, or learn acrobatics to add to your capoeira!
We will be learning new movements as well as building off moves from the last workshop. If you haven't trained with us before, no worries! All levels of trickers, capoeiristas, martial artists, and breakdancers are welcome. Beginners are welcome as well!
Afterwards there is a half-hour free session to try out new moves.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that incorporates elements of martial arts, dance, music, and acrobatics. Capoeira, tricking, and breakdancing have heavily influenced each other over the past few decades.
The workshop cost is $15. Proceeds will help make our Batizado (belt ceremony/capoeira festival) possible.
Hope to see you all there!
