Celebrate Autumn Moon Festival, join us for a hands-on brush painting workshop with Asian Art Museum docent and artist Pauline Tsui. In this workshop, Pauline will demonstrate how to paint flowers, fruits, and Chinese zodiac animals. Each participant will learn basic brush strokes and create a painting to take home. For all ages, children under age 10 should be accompanied by an adult. All art materials will be provided. Pre-registration is required.
Bio: Pauline Tsui has studied traditional Chinese brush painting since the age of 11. Later she received a BA Degree in Practice of Art from Mills College and an AAS Degree in Design from New York's Fashion Institute of Technology. She brings a sensitivity to her painted works that reflect both eastern and western influences.
Space is limited to 30 participants; Parent & child working together is okay (counts as one)
Since space is limited, so, a similar activity will be provided for the younger children or families that wish to skip the instruction.
