Come discover Northern California’s Lost Coast Trail through backpacking (or kayaking) with an exciting presentation by Michelle Schroeder.
This is the most remote western coastline in the Lower 48, featuring precipitous 4,000-foot mountains dropping straight down to the Pacific Ocean’s crashing waves. Come explore this beautiful 55-mile trail encompassing the King Range National Conservation Area and the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. You will witness Roosevelt Elk, sea lions, harbor seals, and perhaps migrating whales, sea otters, and bears.
Look forward to seeing breathtaking landscapes of sea stacks, remote coves, sweeping views, and camping/traveling through the “Impassable Zones” requiring tide charts. Photography, permiting, water access, food storage, resupply and transportation information will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there!!!
