Join us for the next Sustainability Speaker Series event!

Fueled by Sunnyvale’s new carbon-free electricity, electric transportation options are better for our health, our environment, our wallets, and our busy schedules. Rod Diridon Sr. will discuss how our daily commutes and traffic woes will be transformed by new transportation alternatives, including the all-electric CalTrain, the California High Speed Rail, and electric cars and buses. Registration recommended.

Refreshments served starting at 6:30 p.m. Event commences at 7:00 p.m.

Rod Diridon Sr. is the Emeritus Executive Director of the Mineta Transportation Institute, a transportation policy research center. He is known as the father of modern transit service in Silicon Valley and formerly served on the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors and as chair of the California High Speed Rail Authority Board.
